About

Welcome to Trips N Drive

If you’ve ever stood at a rental car counter unsure of what you’re signing, or pulled over on the highway wondering what that strange noise means — you’re exactly who we built this site for.

Trips N Drive started with a straightforward idea: give people the kind of car and travel advice that’s actually useful. Not the fluffed-up, copy-pasted content that dominates most search results, but real, experience-backed information that helps you make smarter decisions before, during, and after every journey.

The Person Behind Trips N Drive

My name is Matt Senso, and I’m a mechanical engineer with over 20 years of hands-on experience in the automobile industry.

Over the course of my career, I’ve worked with vehicle systems, diagnosed mechanical failures, and helped people understand their cars in ways that saved them both money and frustration. I’ve seen firsthand what happens when drivers — and travelers — don’t have access to clear, reliable information.

That’s what motivated me to start this blog.

Everything published on Trips N Drive reflects real industry knowledge. When I write about a rental car policy, a maintenance issue, or a road trip concern, it comes from genuine experience — not a few hours of online research.

What You’ll Find Here

Trips N Drive covers the topics that actually come up when you’re on the road or planning a trip:

Rental Car Guides — How deposits work, what your insurance does and doesn’t cover, renting without a credit card, age restrictions, and everything in between. The rental car world is full of confusing fine print, and I break it down in plain English.

Car Maintenance & Troubleshooting — Common vehicle problems explained clearly, with practical guidance on what to do when something goes wrong. Whether it’s a warning light, a strange sound, or a breakdown you didn’t see coming — I’ve got you covered.

Road Trip Planning — Tips that make long drives more comfortable, more efficient, and less stressful. From route planning to packing smart, the little things really do matter.

Vehicle Services & Best Practices — Advice on keeping your car in good shape, understanding service schedules, and knowing when something genuinely needs attention.

Why I Write This Way

There’s no shortage of automotive content online. But a lot of it is written to rank on Google — not to actually help the person reading it.

I write with a different goal in mind. Every article on this site is written the way I’d explain something to a friend who just ran into a problem and needs a straight answer. No unnecessary jargon. No filler. Just clear, honest information that respects your time.

If an article doesn’t genuinely help someone, it doesn’t belong here.

What’s Coming Next

Trips N Drive is growing. Over the coming months, I’ll be adding more in-depth content on step-by-step mechanical repairs, emergency breakdown situations, advanced car care routines, and detailed service guides for everyday drivers.

The goal is to make this the one place you can come back to whenever you have a question about your car or your next trip.
